Ouroboros is Live!
And We're Live!
The first working version of Ouroboros has been launched just in time for the Extra Credits Game Jam #3.
This game explores the given theme of "Cycles" in a few ways:
- The title itself is a reference to a very old mythological concept related to cycles and reincarnation
- Much of the art, including the title art, is based on the lunar cycle. This portion of the theme is expected to be expanded in possible future updates.
- The mechanics themselves heavily rely on cycles -- namely that the obstacle snakes that get in your way are actually recordings of your previous plays! It really is true -- you are your own worst enemy!
While the game is currently incomplete, most of the features are present. Some additional quality-of-life improvements and polish may be introduced in the near future, but the game shouldn't drastically change from this point forward.
This is officially my first published game, so feedback is welcome!
